The church was built in 1667, the year after the old church had been burnt in the Civil War. There is an Interesting sundial on south wall depicting an eye constructed of glass tesserae.
The two sides of the same grave record an infant daughter that died aged one day and Mary Maw, another daughter, who died on her first birthday.
