I seldom, if ever, believe the last words people are reported to have said.
Malcolm Charles and Jean Elizabeth Fox-Davies are reported as dying as teenagers in 1943. I suspect that there is more to this story than I have so far been able to discover.
Claire wonders if this is the Mr Vanags who was the well-liked science technician at Wolverhampton Girls' High School in the 1960s and 1970s when she was a pupil there. Can anyone confirm this?
Throughout Claire's childhood "Uncle" Philip was her father's business partner at J. V. Boswell & Co. on Waterloo Road in Wolverhampton. The Raybould girls spent many happy hours playing with Richard and his three older sisters.
