Martin Nicholson's Cemetery Project

St Clydog, Clodock, Herefordshire

Return to the front page

The parish church is dedicated to St Clydawg (or Clydog), king of Ewyas, who was martyred in about 500 AD. The present church dates from the 12th century, and is a Grade 1 Listed Building. It is completely un-Victorianised, with west gallery, box-pews, three-decker pulpit and seventeenth century sanctuary furniture.

Although we have seen a number of memorials in the form of a scroll we have never seen one where a hand has also been included.
