John Higginson was killed in a aeroplane accident at Spittlegate, Grantham in November 1917 while serving with the Royal Flying Corps.

His brother William was killed in action in France 19 days later.

Edward Merchant died at the L N W Railway Works at Crewe.

Two friends were "tragically killed in a car crash" in 1988.

Fred died aged 10 months, Frank died aged 15 months, Charlotte died aged 3 years, Oscar died aged 1 year and May died aged 2 years.

Harry Laird died in Coatzacoalcos in Mexico in 1890.

Rather unusually both the date of death and burial are reported on the stone.

Graham Worrall served with the Special Air Service regiment.
