Huya is a dwarf planet candidate and is classified as a plutino orbiting in a 2:3 resonance with Neptune. Huya has an estimated diameter of 530 km.

Imaged on April 17th and 18th 2009 using the 0.61m f/10 Cassegrain at the Sierra Stars Observatory. 120 seconds unfiltered image, cut down to 5 x 5 arc minutes. Huya was at magnitude 19.3.
