M103 - Open Cluster in Cassiopeia

This image was created by median combining 7 x 30 second images using B, V and R filters taken with a Takahashi Epsilon 250 with SBIG ST-8XE CCD. The image has been cut down to be 10 x 10 arc minutes in size.

The open cluster M103 (NGC 581) lies at a distance of about 8000 light years. It has a diameter of 15 light years and an estimated age of about 25 million years.
