M70 - Globular Cluster in Sagittarius

This image was created by median combining 7 x 90 second unfiltered images taken with a RCOS 10" operating at f/6. The image has been cut down to be 15 x 15 arc minutes in size.

M70 (NGC 6681) was discovered by Charles Messier in 1780. It is quite close to the galactic center and hence subject to strong gravitational forces. It is about 68 light years in diameter.
