This image was created by median combining 7 x 90 second unfiltered images taken with a Takahashi Epsilon 250 with SBIG ST-8XE CCD. The image has been cut down to be 20 x 20 arc minutes in size.
The spiral galaxy M90 (NGC 4569) was one of the eight galaxies listed by Charles Messier on March 18 1781. The tightly wound spiral arms show no sign of star formation except close to the inner disk. M90 is one of the very few galaxies that is moving towards us.
