M92 - Globular Cluster in Hercules

This image was created by median combining 7 x 90 second unfiltered images taken with a Takahashi Epsilon 250 with SBIG ST-8XE CCD. The image has been cut down to be 20 x 20 arc minutes in size.

Originally discovered by Bode in 1777 M92 (NGC 6341) is better known as the second best globular cluster in Hercules. With an angular diameter of 14 arc mins it has a diameter of just over 100 light years and a mass of up to 330,000 suns.
