M93 - Open Cluster in Puppis

This image was created by median combining 7 x 30 second images using B, V and R filters taken with a Takahashi Epsilon 250 with SBIG ST-8XE CCD. The image has been cut down to be 15 x 15 arc minutes in size.

The open cluster M93 (NGC 2447) lies at a distance of about 3600 light years. It has a diameter of 25 light years and an estimated age of about 100 million years.
