Makemake is the second brightest of the trans-Neptunian objects and is classified as both a dwarf planet and as a plutoid.

Imaged on March 24th and March 27th 2009 using the 0.61m f/10 Cassegrain at the Sierra Stars Observatory. 120 seconds unfiltered images, cut down to 10 x 10 arc minutes. Makemake was at magnitude 16.9.
